Programme Outline

PROGRAMME

  • The “Islamic-Arabic” programme is designed specifically for non-Arabic speakers wishing to improve their understanding of Islam from its main source-language, Arabic.
  • The ultimate goal of the programme is simply to help you move from a passive reciter/listener to an active studier of Islam and its teachings and create a closer bond and relationship between yourself and Allah SWT by gaining a meaningful understanding of His divine message in Arabic
  • The interactive  language workshops focus mainly on the most essential and frequent Islamic keywords and phrases exploring their subtle linguistic and spiritual meanings with the aim of breathing life and understanding into your daily practice and conversations as a Muslim.
  • During the workshops, you will be regularly introduced to one of the fascinating aspects of Arabic, the root word system, and how Islamic-Arabic vocabulary is logically and remarkably connected both in root-words and meaning. Mastering the essential root words will help you unleash the meaning of a huge body of Islamic vocabulary and untangle many unknown related words.
  • The course content will be drawn from a variety of Islamic sources, mainly the Qur’an, prophetic teachings and Islamic literature in Arabic.
  • The programme will also be an opportunity for you to review the essential and basic Islamic knowledge
  • During the workshops there will be regular discussions and insights about the vital importance of the Arabic language in Islam sharing useful tips on how to master it quickly.
  • By the end of the course, Friday sermons will no longer seem like a foreign language and key Islamic words and messages will begin to stand out and make sense.
  • Upon completion of the programme or each individual workshop, you will receive a certificate of attendance and teacher-feedback.
